How we got started
PinMasters bowling was born out of two things, a love for bowling and a frustration with going to work everyday. I had always enjoyed my job, working with computers, but got frustrated with the corporate politics that is a constant part of being in the workforce. My wife and I had been bowling league and going to tournaments for about 5 years and loved everything about it. Finally I said "What the heck, I'm going to give it a shot." and here we are to share our love of bowling with you.
Meet us
Owner - Michael O'Brien, 40, started bowling seriously for the first time in college (1985). Michael bowled through his time in the military and then quit for serveral years after leaving the military. Michael started bowling again after moving to Nashville in 1999 and joined his first league in 2002. He has since quickly developed a very clean physical game and strong mental game. As a left handed bolwer he has been said to bowl a very similar style to Paker Bohn III, which he considers a great honor. Michael is also a Level I certified coach and hopes to earn his Bronze certification later this year.
Owner - Kitten O'Brien, 38, started bowling seriously with her husband in 2002. Kitten had never bowled seriously until starting league with her husband. Her first league started with an average of just under 100, but that was short lived. In the middle of her first league she learned how to bowl with a hook and her average jumped to 131 by the end of that first league. She has since racked up numerous awards for 75 pins over average, 100 pins over average, 200 games, etc and is a member of the national 600 club (although she is currently hunting for her first 700). Carrying an average in the 170's now she is always a dangerous competitor and is always a threat to have a break out game on the lanes.
Team Member - Rusty Web, 28, is a team member that bowls with Michael and Kitten. Rusty has a strong ball with a mean hook that drives to the pocket hard. Rusty is bowling just under a 200 average right now with 3 299 games to his credit so far.
